Expanding

Learning Resources

The curriculum will expand season by season, eventually forming a complete K–12 ecosystem alongside subject guides, storybooks, and additional learning resources. Our goal is not speed, but depth.

Subject Guides

Deepening Real-World Learning

As Woodland grows, additional guides will explore specific skills and areas of knowledge. These guides deepen practical and real-world learning — going further into the hands-on, tangible dimensions of the curriculum.

Areas under consideration include fishing and watercraft, knitting and textiles, cooking and food preparation, woodcraft and practical skills, and gardening and nature stewardship.

In development

Subject guides will be added to the collection as they are completed. Sign up to the Woodland Journal to hear when new resources become available.

Storybooks

Stories That Carry the Season

Children's literature will become another part of the Woodland ecosystem. Storybooks support imagination, literacy, and cultural understanding — weaving seasonal stories, folklore and mythology, nature stories, and historical storytelling into the rhythm of family life.

In development

The first Woodland storybooks are being developed slowly and with care. They will be announced through the Woodland Journal when ready.

The Woodland Journal

A Space for Reflection and Conversation

The Woodland Journal is the reflective voice of the platform. Through essays, seasonal ideas, and thoughtful articles, the journal explores themes of childhood, learning, nature, and family rhythm.

It includes essays on childhood and learning, seasonal reflections, ideas for nature-based learning, and guidance for families building rhythm in the home. The Journal also supports community building.

Building Slowly and Thoughtfully

Woodland Learning Academy is being built gradually and with intention. By growing slowly and thoughtfully, Woodland aims to create resources that families can return to year after year.

What is here now is the beginning. More is on its way.
