Choose Your Guide

Woodland learning begins with the Seasonal Collection. Each seasonal guide provides a structured yet flexible pathway through the season, combining storytelling, nature observation, creative activities, and foundational academic learning.

The curriculum currently begins with two levels:

Seedling

Ages 4–7

A gentle introduction to early literacy, numeracy, nature exploration, storytelling, and creative play.

Sapling

Ages 8–12

A deeper exploration of language, mathematics, science, geography, history, nature study, creative arts, and practical life skills.

Families simply choose the guide that best suits their child's stage of development.

2

Follow the Rhythm of the Season

Each Woodland guide is designed to be explored gradually across the season. Rather than rushing through lessons, families move through the material at a gentle pace, allowing time for exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences.

The guides offer weekly themes, activities, and ideas that help families engage with the season through nature, storytelling, crafts, and academic discovery.

Every family's rhythm will look slightly different, and that is perfectly part of the design.

3

Bring Rhythm Into the Home

Alongside the seasonal guides, Woodland offers the Rhythm Collection — a small set of companion tools that help families bring structure and reflection into everyday life.

  • The Family Field Journal — a journal for parents to reflect on learning and seasonal observations
  • Year At A Glance — a visual guide to the rhythm of the year
  • The Week Shared — a simple way to establish a gentle weekly structure

Together, these tools help families turn the ideas within the guides into a lived daily rhythm.

Let Learning Grow Naturally

Woodland Learning Academy is designed to grow with your family. Over time, the seasonal collection will expand into a complete K–12 learning ecosystem, offering deeper exploration across language, mathematics, science, geography, history, nature study, creative arts, practical life skills, and wellbeing.

Families may choose to follow the seasonal rhythm year after year, allowing children to experience learning through the changing seasons as they grow.

The goal is not perfection, but curiosity, connection, and the quiet joy of learning together.
